Avacor is a complete line of hair care products and solutions designed to regrow hair, while thickening it with shampoos and complimentary solutions. There are 4 products in their line: A topical agent (contains Minoxidil), a natural pill (contains Saw Palmetto, more info below), a thickening serum, and a scalp detoxifying shampoo.
Topical Solution
Avacor’s topical product contains Minoxidil (the same active ingredient as Rogaine), also as other herbal and natural ingredients. The corporate web site says that Avacor is made up of the “highest concentration in the proven hair growth medication – minoxidil” which is exactly the same as maximum strength Rogaine and similar generics (5%).
Dietary Supplement Component of Avacor
The Nutricap oral capsules sold by Avacor contain natural/herbal ingredients. The one most individuals will recognize is saw palmetto. Many claim that saw palmetto has consequences that mimic Propecia, in its ability to alter the way the body handles DHT.
Side effects of minoxidil
Being a drug to combat hair loss the most common side effect is itchy scalp. In some cases Minoxidil may possibly initially bring about additional hair loss.
There have been instances of allergic reactions to minoxidil or the non-active ingredient propylene glycol which is found in some forms on the topical version, like Rogaine. Large amounts of minoxidil can cause hypotension and it has been discovered that using petroleum jelly or tretinoin on the scalp with minoxidil can trigger as well significantly with the drug absorption by the scalp, as can using the drug on sunburned scalps.
If a individual uses minoxidil to stop hair loss for a length of time and then stops taking the drug, hair loss will occur again.
Other side consequences include:
acne on the area where it’s being utilized as a topical solution
headaches and/or lightheadedness
quite low blood pressure
irregular or fast heart beat
blurred vision
chest pain
All the side effects within the above list except for acne may well be an indicator that too much of the drug is being utilized.
The Avacor Nutricaps also contain ginkgo biloba, which may well raise bloodflow to the brain. Ginkgo is generally taken being a organic supplement to enhance mental performance and memory enhancer.
Remember, just since something is an herb doesn’t mean it has no side results. Talk to your doctor when considering any treatment for hair loss, prescription or other.
Avacor has had some bad press recently so we would advise you to do a bit more research before buying this particular brand.
