Male pattern baldness from the mother’s side?

The men on my mother’s side of the family have good hair while the men on my father’s side are very bald. I have the same hairline, facial hair and hair color as my mother’s father and brothers. Does this mean that I am more likely to favor their characteristics in regards to male pattern baldness?
Darling it’s normally from your Father..
The baldness pattern for you would follow your mother’s father pattern.
And color blindness is also passed from the mother to sons.
I heard somewhere that it’s similar to your mother’s father.. don’t quote me on that though.

my 7th grade science teacher told the class that its based on your mothers Dad.
i was never sure to believe her or not.
