for me it was pretty much right after she was born, it just got worse and worse and worse. Now, she’s four months old and its finally starting to go back to normal. i did find that getting it cut often helped a lot.
unfortunately it wont ;-( your hormones are making your hair grow long, thick and fast I started losing hair and thinning back to my Original texture a few weeks after birth. enjoy it now cause it wont last. I wish It was a way to keep it
My hair started falling out a couple days after I had my children the drop in hormones causes it is what I was told. Continue to take your prenatal vitamins and get regular trims. Not only did mine fall out but it dried out too.
I have had no hair fall out since I had my daughter 8 weeks ago. I actually wish it would as it’s way to thick to begin with. I am a hairdresser and most people shed the extra hair within 8 weeks postpartum.
In about 2.5/ 3 mts your hair will start falling out big time. An old Persian belief is that as soon as baby start to know / acknowlege his or her mother hair will fall out, just to give an estimation time I guess…. This was the case for me.
My hair didn’t start shedding until just after I quit breastfeeding when my son was 9 months old. Then it came out in crazy amounts!
For me it started around 2 months PP and lasted for good 4 months.
It’s thicker because all the extra estrogen in your body keeps it from falling out. I think the postpartum hairlost lasted 5 months or so. Our drain was constantly plugged up.
