im a lil scared im having the gastric bypass and one of the side effects are hair loss so i was hoping to find someone who knows about a good recipe on how to keep your hair healthy after surgery
don’t EVER take hot showers! It will make it fall out faster…But they have probucts for that =)
- get rid of all heating tools
- hair is a protein it makes sense that consuming more protein will help your hair grow faster and thicker.
- oil your hair once in a week.
There really isn’t much you can do about your hair thinning. It happens to everyone. Personally, I lost about 50% of my hair mass but I had a ton to begin with. After you hit your one year mark, BAM, it just starts grow in again. I use Pureology and it really helped keep my hair in good condition. Make sure whatever you choose that the shampoo you use is Sulfate and Paraben-free, This will help your hair from drying out.
I go to a support group fo Gastric Bypass patients. Sometimes to speak of my great experience and mostly to encourage others. There are around 50 people in the group. ALL of them experience hair loss ranging from one woman who lost about 30% to a woman who lost hers in huge patches.
